Bali Illegal Travel Website shuts down

Report stated that there are quite lots of illegal Bali travel websites that has been promoting in the Internet. However the Bali government is still in the meeting to move against these illegal Bali travel websites until the new Bali travel law is passed. Bali tourism is not denying that they are depending on the Internet to promote and advertise their Bali island, however not all companies using this medium are certified to sell travel in Bali or are credited members of the Indonesian Association of Travel Agents (ASITA).

A coordinator for ASITA for Bali, East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara – Bagus Sudibya has recently released tha there are lots of websites promoting their travel agencies on the Internet however they are not qualified and licensed from the government law.

The provincial tourism office for Bali is the responsible for this according to Sudibya. They job is to stops and refrain the companies from doing the unlicensed travel operators and illegal tour guides in Bali. In reply to Sudibya’s call for action, the Chief of the Bali Tourism Authority (KaDiParda), Kade Subhisku, said his statement to the press that the team that has been founded on the law is needed to take action against this illegal tour operators that has been spreading all across the web.

In accordance to be cautious the Bali-based operators must check for the ASITA logo first on the website as proof of legal operating permits.
